Located in the Var department and the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'azur region, St Raphael is a traditional Cote d'Azur resort with Art Nouveau elegance especially in the network of winding streets in the area around the Musee Archeologique with its reconstruction of a Roman galley. St Raphael has grown in popularity to engulf its neighbour Frejus and boasts a tree-lined promenade, good beaches, Belle Epoque villas and a casino. For those looking for more active pursuits, the Sentier du Littoral is a good located half-way between Cannes and Saint-Tropez (38 km), Saint-Raphael is a delightful Mediterranean seaside resort set at the foot of the magnificent Estrel Hills.

St Raphael occupies a prime piece of French territory, so don't expect property here to come cheap!
